Mi-Yen Yeh is a Research Fellow at the Institute of Information Science, with a joint appointment at the Research Center for Information Technology Innovation, Academia Sinica, Taiwan. She also holds a joint professorship at National Taiwan University. She received her B.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Electrical Engineering from National Taiwan University in 2002 and 2009, respectively.

Her research interests span machine learning, data mining, and artificial intelligence, with a recent focus on large language models (LLMs), efficient model adaptation, and intelligent decision-making systems. Her current research explores the evaluation and understanding of LLM capabilities and behaviors, including multilingual knowledge transfer, value alignment, and multi-agent cooperation. She also investigates efficient learning and adaptation techniques, such as model merging, parameter-efficient fine-tuning, and model unlearning, as well as reinforcement learning and its applications to financial decision-making and optimization.

Her research has appeared in leading conferences and journals, including ACL, NAACL, EMNLP, NeurIPS, KDD, AAAI, WWW, and IEEE TKDE. She was a recipient of the Outstanding Young Scholar Research Project funded by the National Science and Technology Council (NSTC). Her other research honors include the Best Paper Award (System Software and Security Track) at ACM SAC 2013 and the Research Exploration Award from the Pan Wen Yuan Foundation. She is a member of IEEE and ACM.
