Abstract:本發明揭露以熱力動力學理論為基礎進行引子之適用性評估的方法,以及實施上述方法之電腦程式或網路介面裝置。本發明亦提供包括引子序列之組合物,以用作為偵測SARS-CoV之引子對或巢式引子組。 The present invention relates to apparatus and methods for designing primers for PCR (polymerase chain reactions). More particularly, the invention relates to compositions for sensitive PCR detection of the Coronavirus, the etiological agent of severe acute respiratory syndrome (SARS). The apparatus and methods of the invention may also be used to design other compositions for detecting other RNA or DNA pathogens.

Abstract:以生物資訊手法來設計跨物種保守序列(cross species conserved sequences)之核酸探針與基因晶片,經實驗室驗證,此一策略可以用來偵測尚未有全基因體資訊之物種的轉錄體概況(transcriptome profile). This approach can design the probes for cross species hybridization based on the conserved sequences among these species. The designed probes were validated in wet lab to detect the profile of transcriptome of those species without the complete genome information.
