Ming-Tat Ko received a B.S. and an M.S. in mathematics from National Taiwan University in 1979 and 1982, respectively. He received a Ph.D. in computer science from National Tsing Hua University in 1988. He joined the Institute of Information Science as an associate research fellow in 1988. Now he is a research fellow.

        Dr. Ko''s major research interest includes the design and analysis of algorithms, computational geometry, graph algorithms, and bioinformatics.
