摘要

In this study, we showcased a novel zebrafish infection model of Candida albicans, together with advances in computer-aided network identification, simulation and modeling. The results have paved the basis for our continued studies on resolving the regulatory networks in the dynamic interactions between C. albicans and the zebrafish host. Meanwhile, under an interdisplinary framework, our research team has established several key experimental materials and methods, including Candida albicans and zebrafish microarrays, transgenic and adult
transparent zebrafish as in vivo model host, inflammatory signaling reporter assay, live cell imaging, core network identification and
robustness control and simulation. We are on track to obtain specific gene regulatory responses of the host and of the pathogen simultaneously
during their interactions. Given such data, the dynamic signaling and  gene regulatory response of the host and that of the pathogen to host
defense, and their key dynamic interactions shall soon be identified.
For future work, we aim to develop robust strategies to model and predict the infection and inflammation circuit within the pathogen-host interaction, which may lead to potential pharmaceutical application.
